Start your morning at the John Deere Historic Site and learn about how John Deere began. See a working blacksmith, tour the original John Deere family home and view the archeological excavation. Next you will explore the incredible collection of Andy, Lisa, and AJ Hinrichs, home to AJ’s Garden Tractor Jamboree! The tour kicks off with snacks and refreshments while guests enjoy a fascinating rope-making demonstration. From there, visitors will tour five buildings spread across the expansive 28-acre property, showcasing an impressive array of treasures including garden tractors, large tractors, hit-and-miss engines, over 8,000 wrenches, lanterns, antique rope makers, cast iron seats, corn shellers, grinders, fence-making tools, toys, and many other unique farm primitives. To top it off, there will be working displays in action throughout the event, adding an interactive touch to this one-of-a-kind experience. AJ’s Garden Tractor Jamboree is May 16, 2026. Come back and see us! After lunch visit the Ludwig Family Farms generation two John Deere collection of open station narrow front tractors. Jim owns approximately 30, of which 25 are restored to above show room quality. All will be displayed indoors in a heated farm shop for your enjoyment. Please dress in layers and weather appropriate with closed-toed shoes as you will be both indoors and outdoors throughout the day.
